Esto lo vi en la semana o lo tengo en mis 'Saved items' hace harto tiempo, son items que usaría si o si, son mi zona de confort indeed, y no por eso menos lindos o arriesgados. Me tiento. Es invierno pero el sol sigue saliendo en Lima. No encontraría una ocasión específica para usarlos más que en verano y en conciertos o en un día de clases no tan común, digamos que es fuera de mi zona de comfort. Pero igual, quiero. / I'm tempted. It's supposed to be winter here in Lima, but the sun refuses to leave somedays, like today. There's not that much of a reason to purchase this than to store it for summer or use them randomly in a weird class day, a bit off my comfort zone to be honest. Maybe for props for photoshoots. Even if I only use them in my bedroom, I want these. Do you?

Ando mucho más activa AQUÍ. Revísenlo, tiene un lindo color y muuuchas imágenes para inspiración. Comencé clases y no podría estar más feliz. Se vienen cositas bonitas para el blog, para mi vida personal y para mi carrera. Por ahora los dejo con esta canción para que les energize la mañana.

The one that got away...

Photoshop o no Photoshop?

No cabe duda que Eva Mendes es completamente regia. Todo un mujerón, como dirían muchos. Pero anoche mientras revisaba mi Tumblr, me encontré con esa portada que saldrá en la Marie Claire US de Marzo.

Hoy en mi paseo casual por Tumblr, encontré el video promocional de la nueva colección Spring 2012 de Victoria by Victoria Beckham. Y sinceramente no parece algo que Victoria haría, me suena más a las gemelas Olsen o algo más juvenil y es que de eso se trata esta nueva línea, buscando más el lado "tierno" y no tan sexy de su línea principal pero sin dejar la elegancia de lado.  Me encanta. La edición, la dirección de arte, el styling y la misma colección, es todo hermoso!

Fue dirigido por Quentin Jones (quien hizo un film sobre Victoria previamente y también ha realizado un corto para Chanel). Definitivamente estará en las listas de los mejores videos de moda del 2012 (ya me estoy adelantando, lo sé). No saldrá la misma Victoria bailando al ritmo de Pitbull como el amoroso Alber Elbaz al final del video, pero eso no le quita genialidad.

            

Y aquí algunos looks de la colección. Los cortes (lineas rectas y el scallop en el cuello), el fruncido, el plisado en V, los estampados de gatos "Victoria"... Díganme que no está hermosa.

Today I was scrolling through Tumblr, when I came across the promotional video for Victoria by Victoria Beckham Spring 2012. To be fair, it didn't scream "Victoria Beckham" at me the first time I saw it... I found it pretty youthful and it did screamed "Olsen Twins" for me and that's because this new line is exactly about that. The younger "cute" version of Victoria's main sexy line, without losing any of it's elegance. I love it.

Directed by Quentin Jones (who has previously developed a film about Victoria herself and is currently working for Chanel as well) this video is really fresh: the editing, art direction, styling, and of course the clothes...it's perfect. It may be to soon to say, but this could be a strong contender for 2012 Best Fashion Campaign Video. Sure, there's no Victoria dancing to a Pitbull song at the end of the video like the lovely Alber Elbaz, but this doesn't take away the wit from it.

Hectic

Particularmente estresada. Ese momento del año en que tu cuerpo y mente ya no funcionan y aún tienes muchas cosas por hacer. Fin de año. A esta altura del año, en años anteriores yo ya estaba terminando finales y como existía la eximición terminaba rindiendo 3 como máximo. Ahora? Hay examen de todo y por todo. Así que hay que cumplir. Lo extraño es que sigo algo relajada y me preocupa, porque se todo lo que me falta por hacer. No se preocupen si no entienden lo que digo, esto es para explicarles por qué no he estado posteando estos días. 

Con lo que me encanta compartir lo que me gusta de la moda, me pone de mal humor no darme el tiempo para escribir por motivos varios. Pero quiero mantener este blog arriba así que este finde planeo ponerme a escribir y tener los posts listos para subirlos durante la semana. 

Con eso dicho, les comparto un cover que escuché hace 3 minutos que Foster The People hizo de uno de los temas que más me gusta de The Strokes, Machu Picchu. Si desean saber más entren a Cuchara Sónica ya que gracias a ellos (y a un amigo que compartió el link) me pude enterar de esto. No me he dado el tiempo de escucharlos (porque al parecer son bastante conocidos) pero por este cover lo haré. En serio, me gustó mucho!

With finals coming up in two weeks and a LOT of work left to do, I haven't gave the time to write and keep this blog going. I have a lot of things in mind I want to post about though! Just need to organize myself in order to do it in the best possible way. So in that note, I'll be writing this weekend in order to publish them during next week. 

As a treat, here's a cover Foster The People made of one of my favorite songs from The Strokes, Machu Picchu. This is the first time I've heard something from this band (though they're sort of famous I believe) and it made me want to listen more from them. So check them out!
